RHS Consulting always applies the most current science to solve your cloud seeding needs. We provide design services and turn-key operational or research programs using both airborne and ground-based seeding techniques. All of our operational and research programs are based on practical experience and proven lessons obtained from many years of cloud seeding experience.
We can also conduct an independent evaluation of your current project based on your unique needs. We analyze your existing program to help optimize your current efforts and can evaluate the effects of your program to ensure your program is producing the intended seeding effects in the target area in an efficient cost-effective manner. RHS Consulting can also address potential environmental concerns and conduct independent trace chemical evaluations to provide evidence needed to help address these concerns.
RHS Consulting builds state of the art cloud seeding equipment. We design and manufacture standard and specialized cloud seeding generators and materials, including pyrotechnics and seeding solutions. Specialized tracers such as cesium, ribidium, and indium can be added to standard seeding materials that uniquely tag their release points. These tracers have succesfully been used to identify simultaneous aircraft and ground based seeding materials in the precipitation at ground level. They make it possible to pinpoint sources without having to resort to randomized seeding methods and minimize impacts on operational seeding programs.
We also employ microwave radiometers to continuously measure supercooled liquid water, cloud vapor and temperature profiles to identify the best altitudes and times to seed clouds in winter storms. Radiometer data is used operationally to find the height of the top of the supercooled liquid water cloud and where to fly a seeding aircraft to maximize sweep out of available cloud water and seeded precipitation. The radiometer is a modern tool that functions as the equivalent of a "fish finder" for cloud seeding.
